Xabier Díaz is digging the land. He takes the music out of the villages very carefully and puts it out in the world. He puts it out how he feels it, with his Atlantic touch, with that voice that beats or rocks like the sea.

In his second album “Coplas para Icía” (2007), he rescues music from the village taken from his personal archive, as a result of his extensive work between 1990 and 2000. In “Coplas para Icía”, Xabier Díaz takes Pedro Lamas and Suso Iglesias as his travelling companion.
